Information About Alcyone213k

Alcyone213k started in memory of my late dad.All sale from my shop will go towards Alcyone.

My dad Robert Spinks fell in love with a sea king sailing boat called Alcyone in southwold.

Alcyone needed some love and care, So my dad spent many hours to get her back to her glory So he could bring her to the Norfolk Broads. After a few years his my dad's health deteriorated and he could no longer sail Alcyone. So he made the heart breaking decision to sell Alcyone.

My dad passed away in 2017. Year after his passing my mum mentioned the Alcyone and wondered if she was still about . On and off for 4 years i looked for Alcyone. Then one day i put Alcyone into Google one more time. There i came across a blog about boats in the grave yard in Titchmarsh Marina.

As i was scrolling i could not believe it. There was my dads boat looking very sorry for herself. I found out the she was in Titchmarsh Marina boat grave yard. I emailed the marina and sure enough it was my dads boat. I managed to find someone to bring her home. After back and forth and someone saying i can store the boat at theirs, Alcyone came home. She needs to be completely restored as being a wooden boat there was alot of damage. I found a local boat builder who specialises in doing wooden boats.

Alcyone is at the boat builders ready to be restored. I am hoping to get her back on the Norfolk broads.Blue boat on stilts in a yard under a bright sky with clouds, showcasing outdoor marine maintenance.Collage of boat restoration journey, featuring images of boats, family moments, newspaper article, and milestones.
